Security and other lenders
Whether the loan is secured or senior secured, and whether the lender allows other lenders alongside it.
Fit and stability
Brand specialist or general business lender, the size of their credit commitment, and our view of lender stability, plus each lender's website. A definitions section explains every column.
How to use it
- Keep the goal in mind: the most capital over time. Start with how each lender sizes the facility, meaning what it lends against and how the line grows as you do.
- Then check how well repayment matches your ability to generate cash, using the cash cycle matching grade. Repayment that comes due before your inventory sells drains the cash you need to grow. Sizing and repayment together tell you how much capital each option will give you over time.
- Only then weigh pricing, liens, and whether other lenders are allowed. Lines of credit, ABLs, and inventory lenders usually all want the senior position on inventory, so you can typically have only one.
- Shortlist two or three, then model their offers side by side with our loan comparison calculators.
A note on our own listing
Elephant Herd Capital is one of the 47 lenders in this directory. We publish it, so weigh our entry with that in mind.
We built it because most brands compare debt on rate alone. The questions that matter more are how much capital you can get, now and as you grow, and whether repayment matches your cycle.
